There are a number of factors that go into choosing a career, but the biggest one is usually choosing a job that pays well in comparison to the amount of work that has to be done.
In the end, we’re all part of a machine that makes this world go round, and having a job that offers a fair amount of compensation for it makes this much easier.
In fact, some spend years, even a decade, training for a career that offers a decent amount of money, and even then, they will continue to hone their skills for years in order to become better at it.
However, sometimes there’s no time for formal education or extensive training, and you simply need a well-paying job that provides on-the-spot training, but luckily, there are still options out there.
Naturally, you shouldn’t go for this option if you’re not too keen on being enclosed in a metal cylinder soaring miles above the ground.
On top of this, it’s nowhere near as carefree as it used to be, but it offsets this by being fairly easy to do while also not requiring any additional education.
In fact, most companies will accept flight attendants with a lower level of education so long as they can pass the training course, and from then on out, it’s all about proper interaction with the passengers and taking care of tasks on the plane.
Of course, there’s much more to it than just serving drinks and food to those on the flight, and you’ll have to attain an extensive knowledge of how the plane operates and all the emergency procedures that may come up.
However, it does have its upsides, and one of them is the chance to travel while being paid for it, allowing you to see a large portion of the world within a year if you’re lucky.
The average salary is around $41k, but with enough experience, it can go up to $120k with ease, and a career as a flight attendant will serve you well so long as you do your job right.
Real estate agents
Purchasing a property is much easier with the help of real estate agents, and with the housing market in the state it’s in right now, they’re an invaluable resource to any prospective homebuyer.
Essentially, real estate agents are the people that give you a quick run-down of the property and how you can buy/sell it while making the most of your money.
To become one, you’ll first have to understand how certain laws surrounding property purchasing work, and then you’ll want to analyze the market to get a grip on what a good deal really is.
Of course, not everyone can be a real estate agent, and you will have to get a license to operate as one.
A high school diploma is a minimum requirement for becoming one, although you will also have to pass an entry exam if you wish to start your career as a real estate agent.
This can be time-consuming and quite difficult for some, but once you’re done, it’s all smooth sailing from there on out, and considering you’ll be paid per commission, you can be much more flexible and adjust your income according to your needs.
An average salary for this career doesn’t exactly exist, and calculating one is practically impossible, which is not to say it’s not an incredibly lucrative business if you know what you’re doing.
Internet shopping has expanded the market for package delivery to the point where people developed apps to capitalize on the shortage of people making the deliveries.
To contest this, major companies like USPS, Amazon, and FedEx are constantly hiring new workers to keep up, allowing you as a customer to receive your item in record time, without delays.
Of course, if you opt for a career in this field, you should know that it involves driving and a lot of it, and you’ll need a valid driver’s license to qualify for a position.
You should also have a solid knowledge of the roads and geography of the area you’ll be working in while also being fit enough to do some of the heavy lifting the job requires.
While this does sound stressful, some would actually enjoy this sort of work, although keeping track of inventory and making last-minute deliveries can become taxing at times.
The shortage of delivery drivers has increased the average salary of one immensely, and delivery drivers now have a salary of around $40k, but with enough experience, you could improve these numbers.
On top of this, the job is often government-funded or unionized, so you may also be entitled to additional benefits such as healthcare, security, and even a pension plan once you choose to retire.
